The SeaWiFS instrument onboard the OrbView-2 satellite captured this true-color image of Tropical Depression Blas churning in the Pacific waters off Baja, Mexico. At the time this image was taken Blas had a minumum central pressure of 1005 mb with maximum sustained winds of 30 kts, conditions just below tropical storm status. Forecasters at the Tropical Predicition Center in Miami were predicting Blas to dissipate over the next 96 hours. Provided by the SeaWiFS Project, NASA/Goddard Space Flight Center, and ORBIMAGE.
