Description:
At Kennedy Space Center (KSC) Launch Complex (LC) Pad 39B, the newest Space Shuttle, Endeavour, Orbiter Vehicle (OV) 105, undergoes a 22 second firing of its three space shuttle main engines (SSMEs). The test began at 11:12 a.m. EDT, following a short delay caused by a blown fuse in the Mobile Launcher Platform. A successful FRF is required of all new Space Shuttle orbiters prior to launch. OV-105's maiden space, STS-49, is targeted for May. OV-105 FRF is the seventh in the history of the Space Shuttle program. View provided by KSC with alternate number KSC-92PC-748.
