Cataloged as AM0500-620 [ http://www.astr.ua.edu/keel/research/aasdust.html ], the pair is located in the southern constellation Dorado [ http://galileo.gmu.edu/constellation/DOR.html ]. The background elliptical and foreground spiral galaxy are representative of two of the three major classes of galaxies [ http://oposite.stsci.edu/pubinfo/background-text/galaxshp.txt ] which inhabit our Universe [ ftp://crux.astr.ua.edu/web/goodies/data_resources/galaxies.text ].
