Young on his left, receives a model of the Space Shuttle from Dr. Alan M. Lovelace, acting administrator of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration. At far right is Mrs. Bush, who accompanied the vice president on his whirlwind tour of the Shuttle vehicle and launch facilities. In the background are the aft portions of the orbiter, external tank and solid rocket boosters.
